Jane, your advice is always so encouraging. I have had people in my art group asking about the red background, and the “instructor” even tried to discourage me from that method. I told her that I had been doing it for many of my paintings, and I was very happy with the results. Watching your videos and taking your class has helped my confidence in my painting.

Wow! When you started putting white and then blue on top of the red for the sky, it was like a portal opened up in the sky. You could stop the painting, in my opinion, at any point, and it would be beautiful. I am so inspired. I need a big brush. I have a big canvas I am intimidated by.

the red toned canvas is very very helpful..changes a lot that I''m doing....I like acrylics since it doesnt poison the air in my apartment..did that for awhile, then decided to learn how to use acrylics..thank you
