How to make the curly brim:

Hdc - Half double crochet
St/s - stitch/s
Sc - single crochet

Round 15 - *1hdc into next 3 sts, 2hdc into next st, repeat from * around.

Round 16 - *1hdc into next 4 sts, 2hdc into next st, repeat from * around.

Round 17 - *1hdc into next 5 sts, 2hdc into next st, repeat from * around.

Round 18 - *1hdc into next 6 sts, 2hdc into next st, repeat from * around.

Round 19 - *1hdc into next 7 sts, 2hdc into next st, repeat from * around.

Round 20 - 1sc into every stitch around. Slip stitch into first sc.

Great tutorial! My first bucket hat was granny squares but this one worked up so quick and ez...I love it! I did my hat with burnt orange and teal around the curly brim with a marijuana leaf in teal at the front. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
