How to open a locked door without the key.
Whether you accidentally get locked out of a room or your door malfunctions and locks you out, before you panic, checkout our video to see if the methods we used will work for you, to get back into your room.

We recently got locked out of our room and had to employ our… Timmy’s (Tim Hortons) plastic cup lock pick to get back in. This works well for doors that are closed firmly against the door frame such that there isn’t much room to slide anything else between the door and door jamb. Also, funny enough, after we got back in, we were filming what we did to create this video and accidentally got locked in from the inside. The door latch was malfunctioning and prevented the door from opening from either side. Lucky for you, you don’t need to be locked out or locked in to find out how to do this.

Thank you so much! My closest door had already been locked for three days because just did not have time to get it figured out. I watched other videos and so I went to home depot and got the interior privacy lock key. Came home tonight get it open. But nothing. I couldn't take the nob off, no screws to access... I tried searching more videos and I saw thus one. I had no idea when it started that you were going to be using a plastic cup... but when I first came home, into my room, my eyes on the landed on the empty cup 🥤 that I keep around for my home made drinks. And fir some reason I lingered looking at it. I set about to try and unlock as mentioned and than I saw you using the cup and I was like my Funky Fries and Buger CUP!! Grabbed my scissors, so glad to myself they were also handy, cut off the bottom and top top and prepared myself mentally for the workout I was expecting to get the cup to slide. It didn't even take a split second!! It was so easy I closed the door two more times to maje sure I hadn't imagined it being locked in the first place! But sure enough, it locks every time and the plastic cup slides it right open! Thank you!!! Best helpful video EVER!

Your video instructions just helped me get out of my locked bathroom, when no one else was home! Fortunately, there’s always a scissors in our bathroom cabinet, and I had brought my pocket book in with me (since I was about to leave.) I cut my supermarket card, inserted it as you said, and after a couple of jiggles and pulling on the door’s towel rack… I’m out!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! 👏🏾

Oh my gosh I got it to work with my card and I did use an old card I don’t use anymore so it got all… destroyed, but the door is open so hooray!

After destroying 3 credit cards and 2 coat hangers, I had that closet door open in 5 minutes flat with a McDonald's cup! Tip - bring the scissors with you; I had to cut a notch for the lock so that I could basically release the lock from the opposite side of the door.

All toolbox n extra key were in the locked room. Cut out my girls korean card collection (no othe choices) 😂, and yes it worked. Told my husband, its so satisfying to do it that i might go unlocking people's door!! Ahahahah
