I have always loved this parable, and took it’s meaning of the talents are my salvation, and that in the Master’s absence, it was my duty to multiply the salvation of my soul, to as many other souls along with mine as I can. This does not just mean converting others to the faith, but most times to encouraging those who maybe were losing heart from difficulties, or recovering those who have lost their way to the ills of the world. Every soul is precious.

Please pray for me. I have ADD. I can be forgetful and I noticed that it is hard for me to be motivated. I love Jesus Christ with all my heart. I fear love is not enough. I will be asking the Lord for more energy and better focus so I must do All I need to do. Thank you Jesus for speaking to my heart and healing me to be less lazy. Pray for my smart momentum. I love you all Thank you for praying.

I want to hear that "well done". I crave and covet to hear it! This is why I strive to hone my gift of teaching, which God has given me, by reading, studying, praying, and taking advantage of every opportunity to teach and exhort others how to live to please their Lord.
I strive to keep myself in the love of God, and to please Him in all I say and do -- understanding that I will never be perfect, yet reaching for perfection.

The Well Done is not for me but for The Lord Jesus Christ. Apart from Christ I can do nothing. Grace alone

We are to work not for receiving salvation but because we are saved

Seeking understanding, growing in knowledge of JC & Scriptures and acting from wisdom that God, Jesus, Holy Spirit is the foundation of your inner and outward life. This would be the minimum. Just a thought. Have a blessed day.

I didn't get far in this. It's a parable for those who believe in Jesus to work to increase his kingdom.

I remember hearing this story from the late James Rohn. It’s great to hear it from someone else. Thank you for sharing.

You shall know them by their fruit. Amen. The fact that this message is often misunderstood, is a sign that this truth is not taught enough.

Surprisingly trivial interpretation. Learned more about what he thinks of his own importance.

Mark 4:11-12
11 He replied, “The mystery of the kingdom of God has been given to you, but to those on the outside everything is expressed in parables,
12 so that, ‘they may be ever seeing but never perceiving, and ever hearing but never understanding; otherwise they might turn and be forgiven.’

Psalm 19:The Perfect Revelation of the Lord 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; 8 The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart;
The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes;
9 The fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether. 10 More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold;
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Moreover by them Your servant is warned,
And in keeping them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse me from secret faults. 13 Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me.
Then I shall be blameless, And I shall be innocent of great transgression. 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.

Titus 2:Trained by Saving Grace 11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, 13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, 14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own special people, zealous for good works. 15 Speak these things, exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no one despise you.
