Capital One Venture X: MUST DO Now!

The Venture X is the highest level travel credit card offered by Capital One. It has a $395 annual fee but offers $300 in annual travel statement credits along with an anniversary bonus of 10,000 Capital One miles which can completely offset the annual fee. When you first get your Venture X card in 2022 you want to make sure you do a few things to get max value from your card. First be sure to setup online access to pay your bill and monitor activity. Also through the web platform is how you will access the Capital One Travel Portal.

Thanks for the great review!!! I am somewhat new to the credit card game. I recently received the Venture X and am loving the card and am taking advantage of all its benefits. Just before the Venture X I acquired the Amex BCP for groceries (works better than the Amex gold for my specific situation) Hulu and gas which combined far exceeds the $95 fee; also two older cards open due to their age. I love trying to maximize benefits😂. I don’t really have a preference with a specific hotel brand and find myself in a state of analysis paralysis with IHG, Hyatt, Marriott and Hilton….. I know I have to use the Capital One portal to maximize the benefits on the Venture X (10x on hotels etc) and also don’t want to open 1, 000 cards for their sign up bonus…do you have any thoughts or suggestions on a good long term hold hotel card that may provide some synergy with the Venture X? Thanks!

If I buy something via my venture x card (example, a $4000 sofa from Costco) and get 75k points and end up returning that item after 1 year, what would happen to those welome bonus 75k points?
