A neuropsychological evaluation combines tests of cognition, behavior, and emotional functioning. This comprehensive evaluation will help to determine whether cognitive changes are related to symptoms of a medical or neurological illness, a psychological condition, or a normal part of aging. This evaluation is also part of the gold-standard workup for neurosurgery candidates.

im going in for my neuropsych evaluation day after tomorrow and im anxious. i had an occipital lobe stroke two years ago and my cognition and memory still hasn’t improved. i lost a large part of my vision so with that comes a loss of independence which is my main struggle. im so grateful in many ways but not feeling like a fully functioning adult in my mid 40s is really difficult. thanks for this video, it’s helpful to know what you’re in store for 😉
