Consider Condos where the building management company/HOA will do the hard part if you are renting your condo out for part of the year while you’re home in America/Australia/GB visiting the relatives (common in some countries, nonexistent bonus in others). Things such as arranging the maid between customers, showing them in when they arrive, etc.

Check to ensure that once you own a condo you get a resident visa and don’t have to be making visa runs every 90 days….

Check the Wikipedia page to see how long you need to be a resident before you can apply for citizenship if that is important to you. It’s only two years in Argentina and Peru, but ten years in Spain.

You really gotta think about expenses as well, most common people would never be able to afford this. Unless you ran some sort of side business. For example common Canadian citizen like myself, we are literally living on the brink of what's considered poverty here. Most people like me are living paycheck to paycheck. And guaranteed we would make more money here in Canada with any job we could get in these countries. And the age we live in now, retirement is like a dream we might never see. Most could never afford to buy a house and are waiting for the housing market to crash.

Can't buy a property in Bali as a foreigner other than leasehold for maximum of 30 years. Can't buy in Vietnam either (with a few exceptions)

Forgetting Puglia and Calabria and Sicily etc can find so many but you need to build them up!! But still can do it for under 100k if your smart
