personally im not poor or anything but im just financially stable, not rich, and i love going to thrift bc there are so many things u dont find at target or walmart etc. thats why i love going there. i have no intention of buying things that other unfinancially people need! more

I hate the people in the comments saying “what if the people that actually need to shop at thrift stores can’t because of all the people that do now” thrifting isn’t just for lower class it’s for everyone. For people that don’t want to blow money away on overpriced clothes.

The majority of these comments are right, goodwill’s initial purpose is for people who have low incomes and can’t afford other clothes (poor people) And yet the people with overloads of money go to goodwill and think it’s a good idea to take all the somewhat decent options that poor people can afford away from them. There is absolutely 100% nothing wrong with buying used clothing, but when you are taking it from the people without other options to shop at, that’s where the problem comes in, that’s why people get mad.

People keep complaining about how people who are well off keep thrifting; so which is it, do you want them to by thrifted clothes or clothing from fast fashion brands. Just because someone has money doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be allowed to budget, save, or buy cheaper stuff. It’s called being mindful of your spending. If she had done a shein or H&M haul people would still complain.
