Great discussion, and I'm a retired teacher. A book that opened my eyes is "The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America" by Charlotte Thompson Iserbyt. She was ahead of her time - explaining what was happening in education decades ago in the 1960's. It started at the national level in the department of education. Very insidious and nefarious!

Mike Rowe's advice for young people is find out what needs to be done and do it. You'll get a good feeling from it. This is juxtaposed to doing what you love. Instead you'll love what you do.

To be honest, because of Robert Kiyosaki, I learned to think in an orthodox way. I'm now academically studying at the same time looking for other opportunities with a mindset of as long as I am average in school or not having dropping grades then it is okay.

Through this, I'm not depending my future upon college diploma.
