I don’t have a Saturn yet because I’ve always worried about how expensive it would be to collect for. Now this really makes me wanna find a system so I can explore the library of games. Great video! Thanks for sharing.

Just ordered one. I got back into Saturn collecting in 2009 and my Japanese console has a mod-chip but my own burns are so hit and miss. I have a good legit collection of NA and Japanese games but it's just so expensive to go the legit route and I'm done with messing with burns. I just want to play the full-breath of the Saturn library, so stoked for this thing to arrive. Also got the component cables on order, 2023 is gonna be ballin' outta control. lol.

Looks awesome. I have the Terraonion MODE and its great too. But I do have another Saturn that I've kept stock, so I can still play disc based games. The good thing is that the drive I took out of the MODE Saturn, is now a spare CD drive, in case the other drive dies. The Saturn I use the MODE with had an issue with the CD drive thinking it was open all the time which previously made that Saturn unusable, but with the MODE and the option to disable the CD drive switch detection, made it a working unit again. (the open drive issue is not related to the lid switch, its all working and electrically fine, its a motherboard issue). The Satiator looks like a really awesome unit and definitely worth a look.

5:24 I can confirm that battery is a CR 2032, and I think it's also LR 2032 compatible as well (CR 2032 but with recharging capabilities).

The Satiator is great. It’s what I have, and it’s perfect for me. But, don’t be offended or feel bad if you bought or prefer something else - the awesome thing is, there are several options for ODEs on the Saturn, which open it up to more people and grows the Saturn community.

Put it this way - if us OG Saturn fans were gatekeeping, and the only way to be accepted into the community was to own an original copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga - then the Saturn community would be forever doomed to ~20, 000 people or less.

Fortunately the Saturn community is awesome, and even those of us who were there back in the day realize that hurdle is basically impossible to cross for most people.

Also, there’s an amazing and healthy Saturn home brew scene, which in many cases meets and exceeds commercial games from back in the day. That would be nearly impossible without all the ODE options.

ive never understood why some say that the saturn has always been difficult to hack or to play backups. Mod chips exists since the 90s.

I loved the sega saturn, had tons of games for mine in the UK, but had to sell it in the 90s to pay for my car to be repaired would love to be able to play the games again 👌

I have a Fenrir for my 21 pins Japanese Saturn and it is not perfect. Some games takes more time than with the CD to load and there is some bugs with the music in some games. Will buy a Satiator instead.

Great device and I like it, however, firmware updates are extremely rare and there are some bugs. Once these are fixed it would be incredible.

Guys make sure you replace the capacitors in your Saturn, they don’t last forever. Just a little maintenance and your console will outlive you.

how long did it take to get to you after you ordered it?

Prof Abrasive completely screwed this up. Thought he had it all for himself and took years to develop whilst getting his patrons to pay up for development updates. Then out of the blue the Terronion Mode and Fenrir got released, that lit a 🔥 under Abrasive’s ass and got him to release it but everyone ended up buying the Mode and Fenrir.

How is the capability.
I read a post that it kinda low in capability. It was kinda old post. Maybe a update fixed and made it better.
Hear it also acts like a mod chip ii think. How is the capability on that?
Was following his twitter. almost forgot about this.
Just using the mode. holds a big drive so it fulfills my needs. but loose cd drive. It's a easy install.
