Make A HIGHLANDER Base - There Can Be Only One!

Показать описание
My name is Agnus MacLoed, of the clan MacLoed. I've been a bagpiper for four and a half centuries, and this, is my base!
*This video is intended for ages 16 and over.*
*A highly detailed 45 page pdf painting guide of this miniature is available on my patreon feed*
Gear From This Basing Tutorial
This is a miniature basing tutorial showing how to make a simple Scottish Highlander base, one even Connor MacLoed would be proud of. It's very similar to the sort of terrain you'd expect to find while walking the West Highland Way.
I go over how to select, create and prep the plinth from everyday household items. And how to build up a realistic ground texture using cork, putty, glue and sand. If you're interested in miniature painting, adding a detailed base can bring out a lot of the character of your model. It creates a story around what is otherwise quite a static figure, no matter how well your miniature is painted it needs to be framed and placed into a scene in order to bring it to life.
If you're interested in miniature painting, basing can often be something which takes a bit of a backseat but hopefully watching this basing tutorial will give you some ideas you can use while making your own bases for your finished miniatures.
Quality gaming bases or display bases can be equally beneficial to models from many different miniature ranges, including: Games Workshop, Warhammer, Warhammer 40k, Infinity, Warmachine, etc. Or even display models from the likes of Life Miniatures, Nocturna, Young Miniatures, Spira Mirabilis, Nekko Galaxy, Kimera, etc.
Best of luck in creating quality bases for your miniatures and I hope this basing tutorial helps you in your quest to improve your hobby basing skills.
