Dog Crate Turtle Trap that Actually Works!

I got so tired of all these turtle trap videos online where they didn't even catch anything!!! I also didn't want to spend $300 on a trap I needed for a few weeks. So I said forget it and set out to make it myself. 7 iterations of trial and error and I got it! 30+ trapped turtles now and still going strong. I hope this video helps you make your own!

This really does work. I built one right after watching this video. Took me less than an hour. Caught 2 large snappers in just a few hours and then a giant snapper the following day. So big I don't know how he fit inside the opening. You will have to have a top on it to keep snapping turtles from just climbing out. Also catching normal slider turtles now. P.s. I used chicken legs as bait

Hey this trap REALLY works. I tried it and caught 20 turtles in a week. Got tired of baiting the trap. Working on snakes now and came up with a great invention to share. Thanks a bunch

Firstly, why do you need to get rid of turtles out of such a huge body of water? What are they hurting? Secondly, what are you doing with them once you catch them??

Made it…it works…I bought the expensive traps and the didn’t…caught 27 total in 2 days….
