This SSB Transformation actually makes sense.

SS Red requires very calm and focused energy. Therefore, once that form is achieved, you apply aggression and anger to go Super Saiyan to enter SS Blue.

Edit: I know it's because of a certain ability Broly uses on Goku as to why he powers up so aggressively, which kinda sucks because the presentation here for Transforming should look like this by default.

0:16 I like how in the recent manga whis says goku is limiting ultra instinct by making it a transformation instead of ultra instinct being his base form. I didn't understand why his hair turned grey/ultra instinct when the broly movie came out but it's nice to see they answered thr question in the manga

I love how he's tired and frustrated so trying to go Blue which he's never struggled to achieve before and his body almost forces him to go Ultra Instinct but he's he's focused on gathering energy to go blue for strength he blocks it
