There's a few things they could do to save money and clay.

1. They could reuse clay from previous Aardman films and use them for the newer ones, and repeat that cycle for future films.

2. They could use CGI Animation for their next films, it doesn't feel the same. But what other choice would they have?

3. They can find a new clay source or new material for their films. Or make them out of moveable plastic.

4. They can make their own Lewis new plast clay and use that instead.

This is very old news. Classic clickbait/shock bait. They're doing just fine and have been for a while. They have transitioned to a different kind and they're going strong. Btw just cause a brand closes down doesn't mean others don't exist. Also the way they're talking about cgi is a bit misleading. About 90% of it is all practical. The cgi they add is usually things they can't pull off realistically with practical effects like explosions. They did collab films with dreamworks which were 100% cgi like Flushed away, but then after a while they decided to go back to models and clay.

If I grow older and see that they've stopped making claymation classics like these, I'd definitely feel upset. I grew up on Wallace and Gromit. I still have yet to see Vengeance Most Foul.
