To turn off the Smart, press the reset button on the back and hold the middle front button. It'll show the Tamagotchi version (i think) just leave it be and don't press anything, and after a few seconds the Tamagotchi will turn off. To turn it back on, press and hold the front button again. Hope this helps!

I recently got my Smart and while I like it a lot, I feel like making it a "smart watch" was bit of an afterthought. It doesn't really have many "smart" features, I think it only tracks your steps but you don't even see it on all of the watch faces, and the device doesn't even open on the watch face, so it's not even that convienent as a watch. Unlike VB it's really just a virtual pet - which I am personally fine with. I know the "dancing" games make you move a bit but that's about it. But I do kind of wish there were some more "smart" features built in. Maybe a water intake tracker? That could be cool!
On the other hand VB is not enough of a virtual pet for me so I don't use it much. I just kind of wish we got a device that could marry being both a virtual pet and a smart device well.
Also, there i technically an "off" function - you have to press the middle button and the reset button at the same time for a while. Very inconvienent but it works!

The dancing game is a good way to do fitness with along with earning easy Gotchipoints/fondness points. I put on that mini game while I do a parapara dance routine or trance/rave dancing which involves lots of arms

Good morning guys would it be interesting if we had a tamagotchi connection remake? All of the Tama fans are emailing Bandai America to get these rereleased or even remade with aspects of the on like a back lit screen. The connections are a whole lot of fun and they even allow your tama to go to pre school, school gets a job and evolves based upon care and their attributes! It would be also cool if somehow they brought back tama town but an app version of course free but, micro payments can be in the game for certain characters or energy points for your tama to play in tama town. Bandai have been paying attention to our emails, and they have been very responsive. If we all email them and let them know maybe we can get a rerelease or even better a revamped version.

I hadn't previously noticed that you mention among the plus points that the Smart doesn't need to connect with another unit to unlock content. It also seems very positive to me, and it's strange that Bandai hasn't done it because even in the Uni the connection is necessary to obtain a couple of characters.

No actually, Bandai said you should be using the charger it comes with, can NOT use other charger because other charger has high voltage which can fry you tamagotchi smart. So only use the charger it came with and only plug in the USB end onto you laptop or desktop only, not the wall.

Is it bad to hope that if Bandai Namco keep doing fitness V-Pet crossovers, say for Chao or Pokémon (apparently they have been on questionnaires), it will likely still be for the Digimon side of things?

No offense to Tamagotchi but I am greedy!

I haven't used the option yet but there's a "rusuban" button which means they're staying at home by itself. It might give you a break.

Is it true that Tamagotchi Smart may burn due to the charging battery?

I'm assuming you don't have Tamagotchi Pix? It has smooth animations, a lot more games (which are fun and quick), no connection-based unlocks and it's in English. Overall for collectors the battery feature is actually better because you can store the device without the battery degrading (and you can pause it by extracting batteries). The pix has its own issues but overall i think it's more enjoyable than the smart. It does have new cute characters but they just stand in the corner, unlike in the Pix.
