The casting for the four horsemen is perfect.

My headcannon about Death being killed is - he didn't die, he temporarily passed over his position as a lesson to the Winchesters. His replacement was much less helpful to the Winchesters due to her history with them.

The casting for death was so perfect that I believe it will never be bested

I do wish we got more interaction between the horseman

I love the concept of a god of death that doesn’t cause chaos and destruction, because prosperity brings more life and with more life, more death. This version of death definitely feels like that. He isn’t hungry for more death, because he’s old and has eaten plenty and expects to eat more.

I actually really like that War's touch is subtle. You're not forced into conflict, you're just nudged. War is an action you take rather than pestilence being more like something that happens to you and famine being more of an inner drive/desire. Some of the characters can overcome War and one of the greatest tragedies of conflict is that while a lot of it can be justified, it isn't always necessary. War making you see other people as an enemy or a threat, even when they aren't, is really close to how people/societies during real wars are

I think Death is more than just a horseman. Maybe he was meant to be one originally, but the showrunners probably thought they can do so much more with an impersonation of death. In universe, you could say that he just took the job of horseman while actually being a primordial being.

Something that i noticed is, you could also interpret the cause of the difference between death and the others as either
1. Death was the Only one God didn't evoke while dealing with his sister, he kinda feel victim to the other 3, but when it came to killing her, he couldn't and as such Death wasn't evoked

2. While the Other three Horsemen do seem like forces of imbalance, Death is what they lead to, because the universe always trys to balance itself, so maybe Death is as Powerful as the other three combined

Be aware when death was "killed" he didn't actually die, his corporal form was destroyed releasing him, at one point he says his physcal form wasn't something he liked and was something made to help bind him to be more easily controlled, its implied that he cannot actually die in the classical sense and when his body was destroyed his essence was released and he was freed to become a force of nature again, a cosmic force free of being bound and controlled, Billy just took over being the face and having to do the paperwork side of things and was lead to belive sje was the head hancho.

At one point I was expecting to hear "War...War never changes."
I think youre correct about Death being a counterbalance, maybe created at the moment God and the Archangels trapped Amara, which would explain him being so old.
Or maybe created at the moment a sentient being, like the Archangels, was created.

I love how you coupled the Horseman's existence and science together to explain their physical bodies within reality. Well done.

I really like this channel, there are not a lot of channels on YouTube that talk about supernatural, and the ones that does are more of fun facts from the series, so find a place where someone talk about the lore and the things that wasn't explaind was amazing, you have a loyal follower

Okay, I LOVE this deep headcanon lore of yours about the horsemen and how to reconcile the "is Death older than Chuck and Amara" discrepancies. It's amazing! :)

18:04 exactly. I actually think it’s as simple as Death made the other horsemen and they are just aspects of him. The rings themselves might be how Lucifer was controlling or influencing the horsemen.

I don't think the writers thought that much about anyone except for death, but your explanation sounds like something they would've came up with

the horsemen always felt a bit epic but wasted. love the idea of war being made last by lucy outta spit kinda... would explain why of them war seemed closer to normie blackeye demon levels in terms of power and scope. great vid

I've always had a hard time putting this idea into so many words but this is more or less how i always thought of it.

At the earliest point in the spn timeline, there was simply the empty/shadow and the entity that was chuck and Amara. The most basic duality between nothing and something.

Then when chuck and amara split, a new duality between light and dark and creation and destruction was made.

Finally when chuck created the universe and created life, death took form to act as a counter measure to his creation.

So basically, while not directly related, the empty/shadow followed by amara and then finally death all act as an evolution of countermeasures to God/chuck's nature as an active/creative force in reality

1) Death likely came into existence alongside the creation duo, as the emergence of life/existence inherently brought death. However, since there were no mortal beings to die early on, just Primordials, Death remained formless and unnoticed(yet ever present) by Amara, who was preoccupied with her conflict with Chuck.
Similarly, the other three primordial concepts emerged sequentially but lacked form until humanity’s action gave them significance and was given form by death.
2) The rings were likely Death's creation, designed to give form and purpose to the other three aspects. Death, feeling bored and isolated, might have sought companions beyond just reapers. Like the others, Death removing his ring didn’t weaken him but perhaps offered a break/vacation.
Chuck entrusted the rings of Death and his siblings as keys to Lucifer's Cage, distrusting the archangels due to their susceptibility to corruption or rebellion. Being petty, Chuck likely refused to use anything Lucifer created.
3) War, Famine, and Pestilence likely supported Lucifer due to their rebellious nature, paralleling the disobedience of the archangels. They relished the Apocalypse, which aligned with their core purposes, and sought the chaos it promised.

Remember, it's just a theory, a Suuuupernatural theory!!!!

I think you're right about Death, I also think he came into being the moment God and Amara did just not in a physical form like you said.

Sidenote: I do think it was dumb that Death could die (mainly because I really liked how the original actor portrayed him) but I guess it kinda makes sense.
