There are more and more products that are offered to finish stair nose edges. one of my favorites are products that can slide right over an existing tread and give it a more substantial profile while also eliminating some modification to the stair treads. Or, dont make the mistake of using those stair nosings, and get guys that fill that space with wood so that it is 100% unbreakable, that tiny rounded stair nosing doesnt fill the whole portion of the nosing in. More work to install, but a better, safer, more professional result.
