I’m so glad that this is finally becoming a thing! We’ve gone far too long without it.

So glad to learn that finally after 50 yrs some are making attempts. The last one you described sounds the best.
Roe v Wade shouldn't have been reversed until male birth control was available. Thank u for covering this and all you teach all ages

I like the stats in the beginning, but it’s also important for women (and/or men) to acknowledge that it’s not enough to just be using birth control, but to use it CORRECTLY.

I don't know if I agree with the FDA medication approval in this incident. I mean "needing to meet a higher bar for possible side effects" because men are doing it to "help someone else"?!, as you put it. (I know it is more complicated- and also I LOVE YOU & don't mean any ill will). I see how that standard is an important point of criteria when dealing with, well, any other medication-but when we are talking about the literal reproduction of life itself (which, unfortunately, must always involve sperm), I believe we should follow more updated criteria, at least in some way.

I'm also not sold on the concept that "its harder to make sperm ineffective compared to entirely altering ovulation". I mean... semen are housed in a soft little external sac that MUST hang outside of the body because they will *literally die* if they are just a *few* degrees warmer...I mean...(*looks around the room*).

But in all seriousness- I think this discrepancy in where & with whom responsibility should lie can be boiled down to Pa Pa Pa Patriarchy! Men have been scandalized & infuriated at the *idea* of holding responsibility for reproduction... or at the very least just haven't cared (I know. NOt aLL MeN) for millennia now & I think that's why we don't have male birth control yet. And we will, more likely than not, have to jump through endless hoops to get it anywhere near what female contraception became in the 1950s.

For what little it's worth, coming from an elderly white male who's 46 years past his vasectomy, I'm happy to see things change, at least a little. Why the delay in devising new medications and strategies? I'd suggest that it's because both the political and medical leadership in the U.S., and probably the world, was (and is, though very gradually changing) dominated by males for whom it was a non-issue. The mind set was generally "I can't get pregnant, so it's not a problem…"

At my age, and in my reproductive condition, getting a woman pregnant is not an issue for me, but even with that said, and knowing that I'll never have to use it, I'm quite a bit less enthused about that final method than Dr. Lincoln. Not the results, mind you, which do seem to deserve further study, but with the method of application. "Local anesthetic" skates right past what will be, for a lot of males, a deal-killer, which is where and how this treatment is administered. I'd guess that women would be a lot less enthused about birth control, as well, if the primary method was an injection into some specific part of the vulva (with local anesthetic, of course) that was not readily visible.

Urologists make mistakes, too, as is distressingly common for humans.

Love the topic... thank you... I am 66 and not worry about this topic. BUT I am helping raising my grandkids now that my daughter has passed away.
My question is is there a good channel that I can show the boys that deals with there needs. The boys dad will not talk to them about sex and changes... his thought well I learned on my own they should be able to get it.
My family had a very open relationship with my parents ... that I could ask them about sex and they would sit down and explain it.. my wife and I were the same with our kids also.
I thought it was very funny when my daughter boy friend said to me we are not have sex....
I told him about a few things my daughter asked us about sex positions. that he wanted to do.... He turned red and walked away. When my daughter asked for birth control we asked nothing about the why. Same for my boys we kept condoms in the medical cabinet all the time for them.
My Daughter had one girl and my God Daughter has two. I sat down with there mother last week and showed her you channel and she loved it.... now she will show your channel to her two teens girls.
love your information and keep up the great work ....
Papa Eddie... hope hear from you soon.

One thing I’m concerned about, as it sounds like these are all things that will have to be continuously taken or put on, is making sure both the man and woman having sex are taking responsibility for their birth control. If in the future male birth control becomes mainstream, I can see both men and women forgetting a dose more often with their birth control than women might now, as they figure their sexual partner or whoever is having sex is on birth control and uses it well, so placing the responsibility a bit too much on the other person.

New here just found you. I am old, had vasectomy in 1991 because I did not want my wife taking birth control pills. We/she never used birth control pills.

Do you think there’s any chance one/all of these options could be available sooner? This is exciting and I can’t wait, but it’s also frustrating it took so long to get to this point . Thanks for the video!

On the surface, the ADAM product seems like best option.

Minimally invasive, reversible and not tampering with the endocrine system.
