Previously thought to be lost to time: this album contains the original session reels for It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. What you will hear on most tracks of this new and improved “best” version of the soundtrack are the musical cues as recorded by Vince and crew before they were edited for the television special, in show order, as well as a selection of alternate takes.

There are two vinyl options available. The black vinyl version comes in a standard jacket and has been mastered at 45 RPM for optimum sound by Kevin Gray. A pumpkin-shaped version is also available in a clear plastic jacket at 33 1/3 rpm. Both LP versions as well as the CD format include seven unreleased alternate takes and new expanded liner notes. The album is also available for download and streaming.

Strangely enough, I actually see some similarities between vince's style here and some japanese composers for RPGs, like Etrian Odyssey music.
