I once worked as a police officer in a large retirement village and witnessed people who died and were obviosly at peace in their spirits and others who did so and were not. I am now living with a terminal illness and your videos are helful to my wife and me. Please continue your fine, realistic, no sugar coating work. Be a blessing.

When my wife of 42 years died in hospice, she had terminal agitation. If I’d watched your YouTube video on this subject, I wouldn’t have the nightmares I had for years. God bless you

My mother in law passed from lung cancer at home. I woke up and checked on her and she was in the last hour of actively dying. I woke up the entire house and everyone was able to be with her in the final hour. It was weird because something woke me up out of a dead sleep to check on her. I’m so glad we were all able to be with her

Thankfully I didn't have to witness the noisy breathing. After I took my mom off the vent, she literally just looked and sounded like she was sleeping. After 8 hours, she just stopped breathing. Literally. She had heart failure resulting in a-fib. She waited until I went downstairs to get something to drink. Very much a mom thing to do ❤️

You're highly appreciated. I love the fact that you're upbeat and not down, depressed and sad, but positive, making it beautiful and it's an extra bonus the words you use "journey", end of life experience etc.
Thank you very much ❤️

Watched my mother pass away. First person I ever saw pass on. I was calm while everyone else was freaking out. I like your videos. Thank you 😊

Hi Julie, thank you for your wonderful videos. My Grandma passed away peacefully with all of her family around her. Your videos were so informative and I felt so panicked because I wanted it to be a dignified end for her, which it was.
I am forever grateful to you and to your channel for normalising the natural end of life, and palliative journey. Thank you and all the best to you!

I can't express how much I love what you're doing here. I like to know what to expect, I'm not afraid to die and I don't want anything to change that plus, I can show these to my family so they will understand when the time comes. You're an Angel, absolute Angel!

Hi nurse julie- my grandmother who raised me since I was a month old was just put on hospice five days ago. Luckily I got her in to a facility that is absolutely amazing. Your videos have really helped desensitize me and help prepare my mind for what I'm about to go through with her and I truly cannot thank you enough nurse julie. 💜

Watching a loved one pass is scary and you feel so helpless. Thank you for explaining and reassuring us that this is normal and they are not suffering.

It also helps me come to terms with what will happen when I pass - I am not as terrified now! Thanks Julie!!!

Shame on TikTok. I think this is a very important subject. And it needs to be shared. As a man who has lost two wives to cancer I can vouch how important your video series is!

A blessing honestly. Young person with a grandpa here, he's in his 70s and has had heart problems for around 30 years now. He's my last grandparent, and tbh I hope to be there when my grandpa passes, or at least in his last few days on earth. He's basically my only father figure and it's gonna be rough, but I think being there for him and really having some peace with him when he's dying will help soothe some of my trauma with death. I never got to say goodbye to my meme because my mom thought it would be scary for me to see her the way she was. I've always wished I could've seen her. So thanks really

I am training to be an End of Life Doula and I have no medical training. Your content is extremely valuable for me. Thank you from my heart. I agree - the more we know the less we fear. Please keep producing this content.

I have been watching your videos lately. My mom is starting hospice cause her breast cancer has spread everywhere and she has decided to stop all treatments so she can enjoy the rest of her life not feeling sick from chemo and radiation. I’m trying so hard to take it all in.

you are doing a wonderful job, I suffer from white coat syndrome, and cancer fear, I am terrified of being told I have a terminal illness, but your videos are calming my fears and I thank you so much xx

I'll never forget the moment when my Pre-Med University Professor (a retired dental surgeon) told my class about the dying process. He made it clear to us that a dying person's brain can stay semi-conscious for up to 1-2 hours after "Medical Death". Of course that is reserved to those in the best medical care. But he also was adamant that it is important to comfort a loved one with your presence if you are ever in that horrible situation for at least an hour.
Life is tough, but we all are in the same boat.

My mom passed away in my dad’s arms 16 days ago, they just had their 60 year wedding anniversary. Mom had dementia and her passing was peaceful, but I don’t know how to exist on this planet without my mom. I appreciate your videos, I’ve learned so much, thank you❤
