OP is truly blessed. Not just for her family, but also, and mostly, for the fact that she could sleep at 1a.m.... I know for a fact that my kids wouldn't let my wife or me (and when i once complained to my dad, he just laughed at me, "serves you right. You were the worst.").

I can understand not pressing charges pending a medical diagnosis regarding mother-in-law's unhinged behaviour. Now that you know there isn't a medical reason for it, it's time to press charges. A restraining order can't physically protect you from someone who chooses to ignore it, and I bet mother-in-law would take it upon herself to ignore it if she wanted to.

Not pressing charges was just flat-out stupid. MIL is psychotic and unhinged and needs to spend time in jail. I am very glad OP has the support network she does, but not pressing charges is just enabling that behavior.

Mil is ridiculous. She is threatening by a baby a baby. Glad OP and family are staying away from this person. Mil did all this and ended up all alone.

She put your life in danger as well as her 'granddaughter'. So why she thinks that she has a right to meet the unborn child she nearly killed. She never supported you during the pregnancy. Then as the baby was ready to be born, she didn't seem to care. She could have got you an ambulance without attention. Then sent son on to the hospital after the ceremony. But she didn't have a heart.

How did OP's husband find her..like, when did the MIL confess what she had done? Maybe he'd gone looking for his wife? I know this hasn't got much to do with the horror of this dangerously demented MIL, but I was just wondering what had happened for the wedding party as the bride and groom visited the hospital in their wedding clothes. I would also like to know if the wedding guests knew what was going on. Yeah, call me nosy.
