Thanks, it’s interesting to see it beside the bronze trim of your Visconti. Also, it’s helpful to see the ink against the other similar colours. I ordered the Al-Star too, and was surprised at first by the colour. But when I googled images for bronze, it definitely fell within that range of colours. I like it, and am glad I got it.

I’m a bit more uncertain about whether I like the new Safaris or not - they’re very light when you see them in person. They’re as light as the ‘petrol’ and ‘dark lilac’ are dark. I guess that Lamy’s design aesthetic, but I wish the pastels were a bit deeper. I got them anyway, because I’ve been collecting the new colours for years. But it may take a while for them to grow on me :)

Very nice video bringing out the true colours, thank you! Personally, I am not impressed with the bronze colour that I am seeing here compared to the stock Lamy Bronze stock photos on the internet! Seems like they have somewhat polished up their online photos which may not represent the true colour? Was thinking of going for this, but now not so sure! Cheers.

I got it as well i like the color maybe it´s not my favorite. But it looks very good together with the earlier Al-Stars like Coopper-Orange and Champagne.
I have slowly reluctantly become a collector of the different colors.

Kind of a snoozer for me, but I like saturated inks. I wouldn’t mind seeing your take on Diamine orange. It looks like a safety orange that wouldn’t burn one’s retinas out.

Thank you for the review ...just wondering why the al star nib is scratchy is it because it is a fine nib or is it characteristic of the AL-Star?.... would the safari nib be better. I thought that most people brought the Lamy fountain pen because the nibs are smooth and they write really well please clarify has I’m in the process of buying one soon thank you 🙏

How does the Lamy bronze ink compare to Diamine autumn oak if you are familiar with that ink. I purchased a bottle last year but should have got the pumpkin as I expected a darker orange.

It is pretty light. I wish, it was alittle darker. But with any ink, it won’t go to waste. I will definitely use it. It just not my favorite.

Their product image isnt right the actual pen color is totally different than that on the website tough as far as the color they got it spot on just like bronze

I write with fine nibs. Ink swatches are of no use to me. Writing samples are much more representative, at least for me.

I have a special edition of a Lamy al star. It's called a Wing Sung 6359. What's special. Two things. It comes with a free converter and the nibs are all smooth writers.
