On the aluminum finish: anodizing creates a layer of oxide on the metal that diffracts light slightly as it passes thru, creating an effect of depth. With aluminum, you have an ability to dye that layer, with titanium you vary the colors with whatever energy you're using to anodize (heat or electricity).
Either way, you end up with an effect that you cannot easily create with coatings or paint.

Maybe I missed it, but you didn't mention the LE Red. I really wish they would bring that one back. They need a red in the line up and that red was gorgeous. I would love to have one.

You both are so adorable. I was almost getting overwhelmed with all the colours haha. I only have black pens so far and needed a pen with colour and thought about getting a pen from the very popular Lamy Al star(Safari) line. This was helpful!

Charged green is my favorite. I would like to see the Bronze compared to the LX gold and rose gold, I just got the first one and seems to be a close match, hope I am wrong.

I think the upcoming pastel Safari pens look very nice, especially since the grip matches the body. Personally I prefer that to the black translucent type on the Al-Star.

Just got my pacific blue and it is gorgeous! You should do one of these videos when the new safaris come out. You can show all of the past editions (that I missed out on).

The Bronze is definitely different than the copper orange. After using it (I have them both) for over a week, the Bronze is much more unsaturated of a color. They have a similar feel, but the Bronze seems like a "watered down" Copper Orange, which does bring out some great shading. But the Copper is definitely a more saturated color than the Bronze. I've tried the Bronze in multiple pens (m800 M, conid F, ECO B )and multiple papers ( franklin christoph, rhodia, tomoe river ) and the results all seem pretty consistent.

Charged Green is my 2nd fave LAMY pen (after Copper Orange) and it is a perfect color match to Alt-Goldgrun

I didn't knew of Lamy back then, but gosh that Copper Orange is quite something! Orange is my favourite colour, as well as on my university is the colour of my degree (sociology) and a few personal things. me and orange is a bigggg thing.
Also, I bought the bronze and it arrived yesterday. Haven't tried it (as I don't like to ink up a lot of pens simultaneously) but it's gorgeous and a bit different from the video (for better)

the Blue-Green is a cutie!! I have the first All Star released: aluminum ^_^ now looks like if was in a battle field but i have it since University times... a couple decades ago i guess

I just got the bronze and it is quite different from the copper orange. I wonder if you guys are under fluorescent lighting. Fluorescent has a greenish tint that can distort colors.

I was lucky enough to get a bottle of Lamy Petrol ink. That's one I'd love to see come back as a regular colour. Beautiful colour and well behaved on more absorbent paper too. damned shame how scarce it was.

I want the brown al star. The copper orange ink looks more brown.
