"Because it's possible to have the rest of both worlds, but miss the best."
These words spoke to me more than anything I have heard in any therapy session.

I watched your videos and you changed me bro, realized that as a youth growing up wanting to be a young thug or gangster is dumb & i hope to inspire the young to what you have become!

so young, so brilliant and a lot to say. Anybody who has grown up between cultures (which is half of the world's population??) can relate, I'm sure.

I have beef with this as well. I should have learned my language as a Muganda and as a Ugandan. I should have been taught Luganda, Lusoga and Kiswahili. We are East African Bantus and what George is so on point on this subject as Africans in the Diaspora. Being bilingual is good for brain function and learning in general. Thank you George for highlighting this important topic.

Parent should teach their children their mother tongue. I love Indian and Somali they speak to their children in their language

My Great Grandma was half a continent away, only met her twice, enough to teach me a song in our language. I feel much as he does about it. How hard our people try to give each generation a better life to live, but forget that it is our roots that ground us.
