As a retired CSI with 35 years LE experience (former 95-Bravo as well) there is no difference between a misdemeanor and violent felony search warrant. You need to document before, during, and after the search warrant if you want any evidence found to be usable in court. Yes, its not like TV, photography is one of the most important evidence documentation steps. Years later, when finally in trial, it is is often the only way to truely communicate what and how something was found.
