Idalia Rapidly Strengthening - First Major to Ever Hit Florida's Big Bend

In this video, Josh continues to forecast a rapidly strengthening hurricane in the eastern Gulf overnight, with landfall tomorrow morning in Florida's Big Bend, which has never been hit before by a major hurricane. Josh will discuss the impacts up to the Carolinas through Friday morning, and then an uncertain and slower track over the weekend which may put the East Coast of Florida at risk later next week.

We live in central fl, about 45 min from cedar key and have been through many 🌀, each one is different that's for sure. 2004 was quite a ride with 4 making landfall here of which 2 we got hit directly and the other 2 weren't far away. It's crazy bc growing up in the 80s and 90s I don't remember seeing hurricanes at all except Andrew that went through miami like a buzzsaw. Such boring weather where I live. We never have had a hurricane, never a tornado. It never has snowed. Never been colder than 54 F or hotter than 87F in over 500 years. We don't have wildfires either. And even our news is boring, as we have no wars, no military, never have had a mass shooting. And other than pickpockets on a crowded bus and tourists overly expensive cameras or cellphones taken in snatch and runs, hardly any crime. And other than domestic crime, even that rare, no violent crime. But a boring life on these things allows me to enjoy life even more,
