I've used both ChatGPT and Perplexity Ai. Perplexity has a different "personality" (using the word loosely) than ChatGPT. Personally I prefer Perplexity AI.

hunting high and low in their FAQ for the #1 most important question - what can be done with the output commercially? Generated images can only be used non commercially, but could not find an answer on the text output. Why do they make it difficult / impossible to get an answer to this absolutely fundamental question. I want to know this before I even spend 1 second mucking around with it!

Great review! I might have missed it, but do you have any tips with regards to the ability to choose different models? When I put GPT4 as model for a prompt, couldn't I just do those tasks that ChatGPT is great at, right from perplexity? Like creative stuff, tasks, pattern recognition, content creation etc? And cancel my ChatGPT subscription?

I have been browsing through all of your posted videos and heck I find so much value in all of them.
I am a student and was trying to figure out some ways with which i can generate some income.
I'd want to have my own business which are online, if possible could you come up with a tutorial or a guide video maybe in the future about businesses and how to start one step by step.

As of now ChatGPT, even free is a mammoth. GPT-4o has up to date searches and even provide references.

So where will the answers come from for this app when the source sites fail from lack of ad dollars. No one is going to pay to advertise on a site where 80% of the hits are by bots. Also how many people are going to actually check the accuracy of the information, especially if the answer sits well with them?

I don't think it's the right comparison. Google has search with AI as a lab feature and that would be the fair comparison

PERPLEXITY DOES NOT ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR REQUESTS AS YOU WOULD THINK IT SHOULD. I ASKED IT TO BE A PROMPT GENERATOR, I GAVE IT A KEYWORD, IT GAVE ME PROMPTS FOR THE KEYWORD BUT NOT ALWAYS IN THE CONSTRAINTS OF THE PROMPT. AS VERBIAGE WENT ON IN THE PROMPT AND I ASKED FOR MORE PERPLEXITY KIND OF GOT CONFUSED AND WENT BACK TO THE BEGINNING INSTEAD OF FOLLOWING THE THREAD AND CONTINUING.

It has basic flaws - doesn’t understand the date of the articles it cites and can’t do basic time zone changes. I like the fact that it’s current but it’s completely unreliable for now
