Perplexity Ai has quickly become my favorite research tool that I actually prefer for most of my research over ChatGPT. I will tell you exactly why it is better an how to do focused research using perplexity.

What I found interesting with Perplexity is that it combines search and text generation. One way I used it was to ask it to be my "game master" for an adventure, giving it some starting setting, and explicitly telling it to make its own search requests and results to create an engaging world and story. That way, I'm not doing the search and not building the world, it does it seamlessly to use its own search results for my own entertainment. And progressing through the story by giving it how my character would react, it keeps searching for new elements to craft the story and the situations I'm facing. I guess there could be other interesting patterns too, beside the obvious "search this for me".
