Crown rocking and fit checker

Thanks for the video, so in order for fit checker to work the crown should be rocked while placed on the tooth?

The fit checker must be very thin on the margin area. In the demo case the blue material was thick on the margin. The crown either did not sit well or had open margins. A crown should sit well on the tooth without rocking and gapon the margins should be minimum.
