GHA surgeon still trapped under earthquake rubble

​The search for a missing GHA orthopaedic and trauma surgeon continues in Turkey.

Dr George Chami is believed to have been asleep in an apartment block in in the Turkish city Antakya when Monday’s earthquake struck.

His family told GBC a search and rescue team are currently conducting an extensive search with heavy machinery. They say the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office has been very supportive this afternoon, arranging for a search and rescue team to return to the scene.
