Biggest Complaint About Clew Snowboard Bindings

In this video I want to address the biggest complaint or criticism I’ve seen people have against the CLEW snowboard bindings. Hands down the biggest issue I’ve seen people have with the CLEW step in snowboard bindings, is people claiming with the CLEW you have to walk EVERYWHERE and ALL DAY with the snowboard binding highback on your boot. For some reason people think that once the highback is on your snowboard boot, you can’t just take it off, and you’re stuck like that. So I want to show how this is not the case, at no point am I just walking around with my highback on my boot. Ive been running the CLEW snowboard bindings for over a year now and LOVE THEM. I honestly have no complaints and think they perform excellent in every scenario that I’ve used them in. The CLEW snowboard bindings are easily my favorite snowboard binding that I have used. Period. I was under the impression it was the cheap screws that break, no adjust ability without a screw driver, the low high back made for women, and or the fact no snowboarder was involved in the rnd. They seem to have many failures on the mountain.

honestly the clew looks useful for when you finish the hill and you end up close to the lift then you can pull the lever but if your walking yeah id agree on yhe taking off the straps

My girlfriend used to own a pair of these bindings. They separated when she was going down the mountain at a decent speed She sprained her ankle, and was done for the rest of the season. $1600 Out the window in season passes.

Well that’s the thing though. Why not just strap out of it all the time then if you gotta bend down anyways. It feels like there’s no hood mobility options for those that truly need it that the supermatics don’t already do better

The biggest complaint ist that they solve a non-problem by introducing unneeded complexity, making everyother aspect worse: Dampening, Response, Price, Comfort, Adjustability.

Also they seem to love to buy "influencers" to shill these out to newbies

The one possible downside of this binding would be if some jerk decides to steal your highback when leaving your board at the chalet. Would rather just take the highback with me to make sure they don't disappear.
