Jacksepticeye is all about games that you can finish in less than 24 hours

I don't blame him for not wanting to finish Red Dead 2 because of it's length. It still BLOWS MY MIND that Markiplier did it for _his_ channel.

Edit: Okay, he didn't actually _finish_ finish it. He didn't do the epilogue. But still, it's crazy to me that he played up to that point for the channel. That's A LOT of game!

I'm a huge Xenoblade fan, but I completely understand not liking or wanting to finish any of the games. They have a TON of content to get through, and the combat seems to be really hit or miss with people. And if you don't know what you're doing, it's insanely easy to hit a wall in every single boss fight in the first game, which obviously isn't fun.

He didn’t say he didn’t like RDR2, but just that it was too long for him. 2 very different things.

Not going through the story of Red Dead 2 is a crime! But, I can understand games that huge seem endless.

i can understand. Not only are games like Xenoblade and RDR2 games, but considering his job is making gaming videos, they risk getting stale being the same thing and then theres life.

Huge RDR2 and Horizon Fan. Not every game is for everyone. Tastes change. Time changes. Some games are mainly focused while others are massive playgrounds. Each has their positives. As much as I would love for Jack to love the franchises I love, it just isn't always gonna happen

That’s crazy that Jack didn’t finish red dead 2. Shit was a masterpiece

It took me until chapter 4 to properly get into rdr2. It’s one of those games that gets better with the more play throughs you do. It’s such a masterpiece!

The first few hours of Horizon Forbidden West are indeed quite boring. I played it at first and didn't like it at all. Then a few months later I gave it another shot and honestly once the game opens up after the prologue, it's one of the best and most interesting open world experiences I've had in a while. Ended up getting the platinum for it!

I think it's all about the amount of content in the games and its replayability value.

It would be cool if Jack could give Xenoblade another chance but I understand if its not his kind of game. I'm just happy that he know it exists tbh

I personally love HFW, but it's understandable. It's nice when someone being honest without acting malicious like some people on Twitter.

"This game isn't for me because the game takes too long to complete" is a complete valid criticism of a game. Has no bearing on whether or not the game is actually bad though, but its a fair reason to not play a GoTY title.

Some people have their own thoughts and feelings about games and it's ok.

I feel this. The older I have gotten, the more I start to drift away from REALLY long games. There's just...other things to do, or need to be done. But there are exceptions to this....Elden Ring. But even Elden Ring fell into a weird place for me. When I got closer to the end, I just rushed the final bosses because the game started to feel like a chore. Not the games fault, but mine.
So I usually love games that favor replay value or one time experiences. But I will always give long games a try, hoping they will stick

I feel like Jack would really like Xenoblade, but it’s also a REALLY long game

I can relate to rdr2. I bought it and had two occasions where I played and never finished it. Third try, I really gave it go and I think it’s one of the best games ever played.

It is different for everyone though
