17 years ago on the day my son was to be born and during a very long labor, I ran home to get something for my wife.  I was called back right away due potentially fatal emergency that developed during labor.  As I rush back,  "Go the distance was playing on the radio"  I was hoping my unborn son would too (go the distance).  It has sort of been his theme song through life.  Would it be unmanly of me to say this version brought a tear to my eye.

I've always liked that song, good choice. The first soloist gave me chills, his voice was one of the purest. Keep doing joint gigs, it's a great combo

That little tiny boy in blue shirt that starts out singing is absolutely precious. And has a voice worth a million. So sooth and soft and cute.

Here I stand, at the end of it all, a second from suicide, yet I am lifted up to the heavens, free. Praise God.

The day puberty starts hitting that kid will be a sad day for all. His voice is so beautiful. I'm sure he will grow up to be a very talented young man

I have often dreamed, of a far off place
Where a hero's welcome, would be waiting for me
Where the crowds will cheer, when they see my face
And a voice keeps saying, "This is where I'm meant to be"

I'll be there someday, I can go the distance
I will find my way, if I can be strong
I know every mile, will be worth my while
When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong

Down an unknown road, to embrace my fate
Though that road may wander, it will lead me to you
And a thousand years, would be worth the wait
It might take a lifetime, but somehow I'll see it through

And I won't look back, I can go the distance
And I'll stay on track, no, I won't accept defeat
It's an uphill slope, but I won't lose hope
Till I go the distance, and my journey is complete

But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part
For a hero's strength is measured by his heart

Like a shooting star, I will go the distance
I will search the world, I will face its harms
I don't care how far, I can go the distance
Till I find my hero's welcome, waiting in your arms

I will search the world, I will face its harms
Till I find my hero's welcome, waiting in your arms

That young man could very easily be the future of Vocal Point, his voice is pure talent on loan from God.

0:40 - 1:12 Just listen to the harmony, the depth and power of that bass. Scrumptious and effervescent .

I am currently being assessed for PTSD, I probably have a variant called Cptsd. The first trauma I can remember, was when I was 6 years old. There have been a number since. This song is a great encouragement for me. Seeing the child singing alongside the adult, for me is symbolic of the child who lived through the trauma, and the adult now who has to put his life together. Thanks.

I very rarely comment on videos, but I feel compelled to say... This is hands down my favorite thing I've ever seen on the internet. EVER. Please continue to make amazing music. Every one of you that was involved in this amazing and awe-inspiring display of human possibilities using wonderful cinematography.

The doubling of the melody at the octave between the little kid and the soloist is absolutely beautiful.
