This video outlines the Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC). This has been available in the Toyota family for several years. This feature uses radar technology that is located behind the smooth Toyota emblem to monitor the distance and speed of vehicles ahead of you. When the cruise control is set, the DRCC will automatic adjust your speed when you approach another vehicle that is traveling faster or slower than your current speed. This is also known as adaptive cruise control in the automobile industry.

Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is active when the cruise control is engaged. You can turn the radar function off and use traditional cruise control by hold the On/Off button while turning the cruise control on.

The Dynamic Radar Cruise Control is 1 of 4 features included in Toyota Safety Sense P (TSS-P). This new active safety suite also includes Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Automatic High Beams, and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.
