Scotland is amazing place to visit anytime of the year, but at Christmas there an extra special something in the air that makes our cities, towns, villages and landscape all the more spectacular. In our cities, watch the streets, parks and gardens light up with festive decorations, whilst our town centres become bustling market places full of Christmas gifts, mulled wine and delicious food to try.

Our landscapes become otherworldly in winter. Snow-capped mountains, frozen lochs, crisp winter air, and blankets of fresh snow that are perfect for making snow angels. Scotland’s scenic mountains, glens and rugged landscape truly transform during winter, making many locations look even more mesmerising and enchanting.
