Nintendo actually offers a free repair service if you're able to ship it to them. Got mine fixed for nothing else but shipping :) (so, I do just buy them for the special additions and fun colors)

Here's a tip, if your joy-con gets drift then its most likely from dust getting into the rubber flap at the bottom of the stick, so using compressed air will usually get it out, if that doesn't work then the joy-con is probably broken.

Replacement sticks are like $5. A lot better than $80 for a new set of joycons.

You can actually replace them for free, Nintendo doesn’t advertise this but there are loads of tutorials online on how to do it

i used to have drifting joycon but quickly fixed it with the calibration function in the settings, definetely saved me a lot of money

I got a nintendo switch for myself a bit before Christmas 2023, and my mom got me some cool new joycons. The splatoon ones.

I was playing animal crossing and not even a few hours after using the Splatoon joycons, the left had drift.

I take apart my joy cons so much that its second nature at this point

My brother taught me a trick to temporarily fix drift (other than stop playing lol), lift up the rubber flap at the base of the stick and spray in a tiny bit of wd-40. Work it in by moving the stick in every direction a few times and doing a few 360s. It can help!

Thats why i only buy well rated wireless pro controllers, so drift doesnt screw me up (at least not within the first year or so)

The fact they all have it in the left one is crazy my joycons have it the left one as well and I'm too lazy to replace it and if I buy more they will get drift as well
