For those who think water is not an acid:

Yes water can be an acid but a very weak one.

Acids are things that ionize into hydrogen ions. Water can ionize into hydrogen ions.

The oxygen in the water hogs the electrons like a bich and does not share any with the hydrogen. So hydrogen is like f*** you oxygen and leaves the H2O molecule.

This process happen over time. To speed up the process you can just heat the water up. That is why warm water and water you leave open for a long time taste different because you are tasting the individual hydrogen ions.
