Boris Johnson: ‘I’m not going to step down’ as Prime Minister

Boris Johnson has said that he won’t “step down” as Prime Minister if he loses the confidence of his MPs in a second vote.

The Prime Minister was speaking to the Liaison Committee on Wednesday amid fallout from the Chris Pincher scandal. Dozens of his MPs – including Cabinet ministers – have resigned from their roles since Tuesday.

Mr Johnson earlier told MPs at PMQs that he intends to "keep going" despite mounting Tory calls for him to resign.
