Can You troubleshoot #1 - CYT this FPV video issue?

Here are your clues.

1) The video looked fine when I first powered up.

2) The video progressively got worse over time until it was completely static.

3) I un-plugged the battery and re-plugged it and the problem was still the same.

4) But when I un-plugged it and waited a minute, then the video looked fine. For about 30 seconds until it went bad again.

Nice way to waste my time. I need a fix. So I guess I have to look through some more videos and see if I can find a fix.

Did you ever find a solve for this. My set up was working great the time before last that I flew. Then I went out a couple weeks ago and couldn't even take off. No channels were changed, nothing changed. Yours looks like a wrong channel? Mine does that even on the proper channel

Mine starting doing something similar to this after a couple small crashes on the beta95x... checked the connections and solder joints all looks fine... what could it be??

I’m having a somewhat similar issue as well with my vtx feed and distortion. However, mine goes away when I turn off my radio. For some reason it doesn’t like crossfire. I’ve had this build working fine with Spektrum receiver previously and the upgrade to crossfire is when the problem started. Any ideas?

from the clues i'd guess an overheating problem of some kind? Although my first guess was low voltage, but unless your osd calibration was way off...

Missing pin inside of Sma or rp-sma connection causing over heating issue.... Am I right!?

Something similar has happened to me... I powered on... Looked fine.... then did this similar thing... just black and white video... but forever now.... UNTIL... I go in cam settings and "CLOSE" the and its workable then.... BUT I WANT WDR ON..?!

please give me the answere i have similar issues i can fly like over 1km on 600mw but when im close to myself and as longer i fly as more freezes and breakup i get in my googels. sometimes the image freezes or breaks up and when i move my head the image return(i have 2 rhcp omnis on my googel) can someone help me?

VTX doesn't have enough voltage. the battery is probably low. it works at first because the battery's voltage was temporarily higher as it equalized itself.

i just found out something, i found a frame that looks like a photo of a house with a live fence, there's land or water at the bottom of the picture, a fallen tree and a black box looking like the entrance to the house, you can actually see the house in the bakcgorund, VERY COOL

I have a similar problem. I get the video signal extremely clear about 2-5 feet. I walk away a little bit and the video signal goes hay wire. Can you please help me.

Even with the VTX on and sitting on the bench at its lowest power there is a susceptibility to overheating and that's the exact same kind of static and Video issue you will see prior to overheating/ washout

A wondering signal won't stay at the freq you set. Gets warmed up and the signal wonders. Some thermal freq wondering. Cools and comes back.

Hi Josh, Ive see this before and I had a faulty fatshark reciever which would overheat and then lose the signal in the same way you show. If you turn it off and let it cool it would then work again for a few minutes before the picture worsened again. Fortunately the very nice people at fatshark repaired my Attitudes under warranty and all worked well again. :)

I had this exact problem once with an external DVR recorder. There the problem was, that the two 3, 5mm ports had a different wireing which lead to the video and ground wire being switched. Of course I can't say that that definitely was the problem but the picture on my DVR looked the same.
