As a jungle Yin main who makes content around him, Yes, he is not meta. But people seem to think that the only thing a skilled yin main can do is press ult, dash and then 1st skill. If you're using this logic you can then also say that heroes like Lancelot, Ling and Fanny are useless because their ults alone cant one shot enemies without taking into account their normal attacks and other skills. People forget that his basic attacks and blast from his 1st skill deals a lot of damage not to mention people also forget that his 2nd skill can be used as a stun. People can bring up the argument of "what if the enemy has purify, wind chant, flicker, winter crown, Aurora", yes you will get countered if you turn off your brain and just ult dash and 1st skill. You guys do know that he can actually use his skills separately in his ult and sometimes (this might blow your mind) basic attack. It depends on the situation but sometimes I use his enhanced 1st skill to bait out spells and then dash in after with basic atks for the kill or dash in then weave in basic attacks then use his enhanced 1st skill. People say but what if yin was crowd controlled, ok? But you could apply that same argument to a lot of other fighters or assassin, that's why proper timing and engagement is required not just for yin but for other heroes as well. Also the argument of Yin having trouble killing enemies whose not low hp or he can't kill tanks are just completely false if the player knows what he's doing. I have video proof of my games and experience out here against hard counter heroes and tanky heroes while having 600+ matches with a 67% winrate with him in solo q. So again, yes, he's not meta, he's not op, he has weaknesses, but his capabilities are heavily misunderstood by the majority of the playerbase who thinks he can only use ult since it's flashy and doesn't try to understand how to fully maximize his kit.

I'd say he's a bad hero disguised as a meta hero he seems meta only cuz people with low hero knowledge tend to just fear him for no reason if u actually think about it if u have a wind chant he's literally nothing not to mention heroes like hanabi zask and aurora who are squishy heroes could just counter him without even a win chant so yea he's basically a wolf disguised as a sheep

With almost 420 matches with yin, I Always go Yin Jungle / Flame Retribution.I always go the opposite of gold lanr after I take buff i save my retribution to enemy gold laner when i ulit i use FLAME retribution, It helps me get a HUGE advantage to me. / When i kill ALWAYS the turtle comes in 30 seconds i go mid to clear or poke mage and take objective since The retribution is already ready.I have a build that can 1 SHOT almost every mm/assassin/mage in late game. TIP: ALWAYS GO AGGRESSIVE WITHIN THE 8 MINUTE MARK..DONT BE SCARED TO TOWER DIVE WHEN UR HP IS LOW/WORKS IF THE TARGET DONT HAVE CC OR ON COOLDOWN.ALWAYS REMEMBER HIS PASSIVE.

They should give Yin the ability to switch back to his normal form while in his domain. This could give him more fighting chance if he misses his Lieh skills.

As an Indian top yin user, when enemy had a dash skill.. Or pick flicker.. And when you put those hero inside ur domain.. Never use ur swip second skill first.. Just basic attack punch 3 times first and let them use his dash or flicker first.. Kniw that.. Player often tend to panic when inside yin ulti and dash ulti or flicker quickly.. So after they use their dash or flicker. Press ur retri to slow them down .. And then use ur second skill to swip and stun then press ur first skill.. Or if ur sure, they wait for ur second skill to swip and stun..to react ur skill .just press ur first skill first..and then they gona swip..then u still have second skill swip to attack him..Know that yin had 9.5 second inside his ulti..

Yin is the most team dependent hero on the game. Because if you kill their mm, mage, jungler, your teammates still could lose the fight cuz they suck at the game. But Yin is still good in exp tho

I recommend going for thunderbelt then either war axe or immediately BoD, then 2 dmg items then another def item, it will help a bit, but go for mm and mages, this build is more of survivability, that's why the waraxe and BoD is highly needed for dmg.

I always think yin should ult on cc tank like tigreal Akai etc in team fight just to weaken enemy team
