HNY Jenny. My decade old L1 is one of my best runners. I either got lucky or am easily pleased! Good to see it back in the catalogue & updated. I do think Hornby could have placed it at a more accessible price point, however, given that it's older tooling. For instance, even though I already have one, I'd have bought another if the price had been lower.

the westinghouse was fitted to the l1s as the nesden ones had to haul met/lt stock

I hope Hornby are amending the tooling on their re-issues to enable them to take Hornby’s own HM7000 Bluetooth decoders. Otherwise, a very nice model that’s stood the test of time very well.

Happy New Year. Jennifer E. Kirk Model Railways I really want to get my one but not going to pay the new price too much. As I got my first one only £90 in br green. Wait to see around £130 there get it.
