PART 2: Neighbor gets SO MAD when I tell him to stop...

Follow up from the video documenting how I repaired a damaged area on a vacant lot for a new property owner. The neighbor who continued to dump on the same spot after the repair couldn't understand why he had to move his pile two feet because he has been dumping it in the same place for 19 years...

Obviously this is an edited version of the encounter, the full confrontation will be in an upcoming video that highlighted the dirt work and repair efforts that went into the lot (and the follow up).

Why is it ok to dump your yard debris on another lot? Easement or not.

Cause he was very confrontational and you were getting pissed off, simple.

he should be dumping his trash on his own property and not someone else's property.

People are crazy. "That ain't damaging." WHAT?! lol When I bought my house I had a problem with my neighbor because her kids kept walking thru my yard, hitting my house with sticks & nerf guns, leaving trash everywhere, letting their dog 💩in my yard and refused to pick it up. So, I put up a fence and they THREW A FIT! They said they've been doing it for years and years and never had a problem and they couldn't understand why I would do such a thing. I bought my home from an older woman who was probably scared of them. I wasn't scared of them and wasn't going to put up with a complete lack of respect!

Still doesn't solve the whole "dumping on somebody's land" issue.

Let him know he can offer up a portion of his land for the new dump sight. Then see how “much of a difference” it makes to him when his lawn is ruined

I didn’t hear anything impolite by you. You never raised your voice or was disrespectful. Your all good man I gotta deal with people like this all the time. In our line of business, we must keep humble which you did even if it was incorrect info, just recognize and move on

There being an easement there doesn’t mean they don’t own the property, it just means it gives a person or an organization, the right to use that part of the land in agreed-upon manner. Generally just access to an area beyond the private property.

Easement is for ingress and egress. Regardless of ownership its for access and passing, not dumping and squatting. Both yall just arguing becuase you don't want to call him the entitled jackass he is and hand HIM your bill.

Even if their is an easement for access, that doesn't give them the right to dump.

What kind of people dump stuff in someone else's yard that's illegal 😂
At least where I'm from it is. Actually dumping of any kind is illegal.

She needs to take him to court so that if he continues to dump on her land she would then have a legal right to charge him with illegal dumpng.

"She owns half that driveway, " when his intentions are to dump his trash in the yard, not the driveway....

I've had some doozy conversations with folks. Eventually you get to a point where you recognize that they will never understand, and all you can do is state your business and let them do whatever.

Regardless, he should dispose of HIS waste properly.

I worked for local small thrift store in small town we retired too. There is normal trash pick up but the landfill only 10 minutes at end of town only charges $5 up to like 500 lbs. Its nothing! Many help the elderly too that dont have much trash and take theirs to dump or take their one bag of trash. But ...you should have seen what was donated to the thrift. Sheets that stank and looked like someone died in it. Note...thrift stores do not have washers and dryers! Other things all broken or boxes looked like was stored under a tree for 20 years so all items in it literally became mulch with the leaves. All over saving a $5 fee.

"Yeah, half the drive way. Not her side of the yard-"

An easement does not change ownership. An easement just gives someone else legal right to cross your land.
