I think the most important thing about this exam is to stay calm and imagine yourself having a convo with a friend. If I was there I would most probably fail cause my tongue would be in a knot. Is this test available in Singapore?

Her script is good but her intonations need alot of work. She sounds like she has memorized it word to word or reading from a card.

If she gets 8 then why the Arabic guy gets only 7.5? Her accent is terrible. Her intonations are way worse than the ones of Ahmed. She also says ''eeh'' and ''aah'' frequently. How can her score be so high?

I really worried about my pronunsation, after this video I have felt more confidence, I think it is not significant to sound like native speakers, it is essential clear pronunsation of words.

she would get 8.5 if her accent was better. she showed her ability in making complex sentences and also used many good vocabularies. i wish i could be as good as her

Why her band score should be 8?
Not using advanced grammar, as well as not using idioms or phrasal verbs. Also, she used very simple grammar, limited vocabulary, mispronunciation, and other issues. Her band score would not be more than 6.

Is it really necessary to answer all the questions on the cue card? I met many teachers who think this won't affect our score as long as you are not off topic

this is insane. It is impossible to get band 8 with this performance. Furthermore, Your result is definetly depend on the British council Centre. If you enter this exam in New zealand, London, Australia or Middle east country, Your result will dramatically increased. This laddy, I'm 100% sure, If she enter this exam in Turkey and doing same performance, She will definetly get 5 or maybe 5.5. This is madness. My uncle got 5.5 in Turkey and he went to New zealand that 12 days After previous exam. he got 7.5 overall. IELTS is madness. dont think to much about exam. You can not get it any logic.

Dear AcademicEnglishHelp! I am really confused about one aspect of the speaking part, to be more precise, it is the content of speaker's answer. Is it really enough for a candidate to use fairly ordinary word constructions in order to get such a good mark? Thanks in advance.
