Helicopter crashes happen in mountains and in bad weather in mountains often. Helicopters do not perform well at higher altitudes nor do they do emergency landings well at high altitudes either. Such as in mountainous areas, which are always at high altitude, and can have turbulence. History is full of helicopter crashes in mountains. And even crashes of helicopters going to rescue or visit helicopter crash sites in mountains is a common occurence. Look it up.
