I bent the pin on the top right. Thankfully it’s possible to bend it back. I thought I ruined it and was gonna have to get a new case

I'm not even a newbie, this connector is just actually awful. my board has a right angle connector, and the way my case is built means it's actually impossible for me to plug it in. horrible design.

Also BE VERY CAREFUL when removing it, the CASING ITSELF COMES OFF IF YOU TAKE IT OUT

Absolutely fucked up cable design. Unplugging it is next to impossible. Why can't they be as simple and low profile as the usb 2.0 connectors. The guy who came up with this connector should be fired.

i need help w smth regarding this. i really don’t want the usb 3 cables that are on my case i always only use the ones on the motherboard. how can i go about removing them or is it safe to just cut them off?

Ok but how do you keep the 3.2 gen 2 cable from falling out? The gen 1 cable was easy to install and so was the gen 2 but anytime I work on my pc the Gen 2 cable pops out of the header

Definitely the worst port known to man. I just destroyed that stray pin but hopefully it’s still works after straightening it out and plugging back in properly. 🤞
