So he was there ... witnessed the father not being abusive?? Also, I have a background in psychology ... everyone has multiple things going on. I believe it's 1 in 10 people who have sociopathic behaviours ... and the younger they are, that number increases. These boys were evaluated by an actual professional psychologist as having the mental capacity much younger than they were. Thank God we know more now about how severe abuse affects the brain and the overall development of children.

Damn rite, they were normal humans who turned cold due to their abusive parents. But should be given a right to live normally, years later atleast. They are not criminals, he should be able to see both sides of a coin. Their dad was not any disciplinary for him to be correcting his children, he was a straight abuser in all forms which should not be tolerated / accepted by law . Even the prosecutors of their trial agreed that Jose was abusive AF, they couldn't find ONE witness that would say he was a good man, the prosecutors' argument was that life long abuse does not justify killing someone, which makes sense...but then THIS MAN pops out of nowhere and says Jose's not abusive at all and he has the audacity to call Lyle a sociopath when Lyle was a kid that couldn't stop playing with stuffed animals even after he turned 18, he was extremely selfless and protective of his loved ones...I mean, He sacrificed his whole life for his brother and that's the last thing a sociopath would do!!! How can any sane person call him a sociopath?! This man would regret saying all of this about the brothers had he watched the first trial because there were SO many witnesses to prove that the abuse took place. The guy in this clip is the real sociopath here, he has absolutely no empathy and is actively supporting an abuser

A police detective doesn't have the authority to talk in that deterministic way about the mental health of these guys and the dysfunctional family. Too many witnesses and real specialists in child abuse, trauma and mental health provided, during the trial, better understanding of this extreme complex case.

The way he said Lyle is a sociopath is very clear evidence from the very beginning that he is against them and won't look at the other side. Believing that his answer is the only correct one even though he isn't a professional. That's funny. And then he says that Eric has also some psychological problems without even explaining further which shows that he hasn't done his neccessary researches before having that interview and that he's only trying to prove his point that they are guilty. also how does he know that Jose isn't being abusive? He's been there? 🤨🧐 and the way he says that Jose was just trying to threaten them to put them in shape shows that he has a very wrong mindset. more specifically, it shows that he believes that bad people are born bad and that his parents didn't have anything to do with the way they turned out to be. ALSO the way he slowly widens his eyes more and more while talking shows that he was just trying to come up with something. His insecurity is showing and he tries to hide it.

Shame on this man. He chose a story and now makes statements to fit his narrative. Is this what detective work does to one’s psyche? How can trauma and abuse not lead to the outcome and actions taken by the brothers? Sure it was a horrible act and one they should not have done so manslaughter would have been appropriate but the first degree murder with circumstances punishment does NOT match the crime. The true “criminals” were the parents and the legal system.
