DO TAIWANESE PEOPLE REALLY DISLIKE THE PHILIPPINES?

Last week we posted a survey done by the Taiwanese Public Opinion Foundation that showed The Philippines to be the second most disliked country in Taiwan. Observers were surprised by the results and asked us to find out if it was true. So we took to the streets of Taipei to find out what people on the street thought of this survey and how they felt about The Philippines.

This survey is really weird. I'm Taiwanese, and I've never heard of people saying that they dislike Filipino. I wonder who made this survey. As you can see in this video, most Taiwanese like Filipino.

Some of my best friends in university were Filipino. We used to drink together San Miguel beer.

I'm from the Netherlands and i traveled all over the world. The Filipinos are, by far, the nicest people i ever met! Even if you see Filipinos in other countries you can spot them right away because they are always friendly and smiling. Ang ganda ng Pilipinas!

I'm Filipino and I don't hate Taiwanese. I actually love their food. I used to teach English to Taiwanese before and they are good people.

in my own opinion as a filipino working here in taiwan, taiwanese people are good and friendly.they treated us filipinos with love and respect as we did thesame to them...

I’ve been in Taiwan for twelve years and i never heard or found them showing any bad treatment to us. They’re so friendly too and if there’s some filipinos had been treated bad it’s just too minimal and that’s just normal to happened regardless of which country you are working.

Actually, we used to have a Taiwanese neighbor and he was really really nice! When he cooks Taiwanese style siopao, he never forgets to give us. He’ll randomly knock on our door and share his blessings. He was a good man from what I can remember but a bit of a disciplinarian to his kids. But all in all, he was not rude and airy unlike Chinese people who usually goes to Philippines.

Taiwanese don't have personal grudges against Philippines. The only reason I can think of why Philippines came out on the survey is because of an issue where the Philippine coast guard shot a Taiwanese fisherman.

When Chiang Kai-Shek visited Philippines he asked Pres. Quirino for help if ever Taiwan will be invaded by China.

Pres. Quirino said Philippines will help just in case China will invade Taiwan.

I’m a Filipino and I really love Taiwan ! I went there last month . Taiwanese are really down to earth and very humble . My vacation there last month was the best vacation I’ve ever had so far. Love you Taiwan ! 🇹🇼🇹🇼🇹🇼❤️❤️❤️ Filipino and Taiwanese are the same, they are both kind and will always show generosity .
