Another lost masterpiece from the early 70s. Alexander Rabbit - The Hunchback of Notre Dame (The Bells Were My Friends), released in 1970. A very pleasant and melodic album. Organ, drums, unobtrusive guitar, orchestrations, vocals. Highly recommended. Alexander Rabbit is an American band from Trenton. They were originally called Galaxies IV and were a high school garage band. The band released a few 45s. They won the New Jersey Rock and Roll Olympics (Phil Spector was on the jury). Then they had a great song in 1967 called Don't Lose Your Mind, which was garage rock with space rock sounds and it was probably one of the first examples of space rock. In the late 60s, vocalist Steve Shier joined the band and the band changed its name to Galaxie V, and then to Alexander Rabbit (this was Steve Shier's pseudonym).
