We are already counting down to the 2012 Eurovision Song Contest in Baku. We do that by looking back to recent editions of Europe's favorite TV show. This time we go to 2009, when the contest was held in Moscow, Russia

Alexander Rybak represented Norway in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest with the song 'Fairytale'. Norway won the grand final and brought the Eurovision Song Contest to Oslo in 2010.

Fun fact, the type of dancing they're doing is called Halling! It's very traditional in Norway and Sweden, though quite athletic and typically only done by specially trained dancers/gymnasts today. I love that even with a song sung in English he made sure to keep some of our culture both in the type of fiddling and dancing 😊🇳🇴🇸🇪🇳🇴🇸🇪
