I had so many people yelling "Wrist check!" at me one time because I spent like a week wearing my nana's old hoodie after she passed, and since it was so big on me it covered my hands completely, it was really hard on me too because quite literally my nana had *just* passed at the time, what they didn't seem to realize was I don't find a coping mechanism in self harm, I was just really not in the mood for things, even keeping myself clean was a struggle
